INFORMATION SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE

An information architecture study applies generally to the whole company, or to a very wide area.

An effective e-business architecture study should take into account many company departments, including the marketing, sales & sales support, distribution, accounting departments, and maybe others.

The first purpose of an e-business system design study is to evaluate the impact the e-business wave can have on your current business. Secondly, you will design the guidelines of your own possible e-business solution.

Purposes

(-)  Identify the strategic choices and supply a global evolution scenario.

in term of overall web strategy for your company: market segments to be reached electronically, type of web interaction to be developed, ...

in terms of functional purposes for your e-business system: web and local applications to be developed, links between applications, ...

in terms of resources: technical infrastructure, human resources, organization

(-)  Launch actions to realize the projects.

(-)  Make sure that the system architecture will be respected and updated during the next phases.

Phases
