Phase RA.3 Launch in production.

RA.3.1 Purposes

Prepare and train

(-)  the end-users employees; all the people concerned by the change

(-)  the computer specialists in charge of the operations.

Set up all the conditions before to launch in production.

Fine Tuning: finalize the customizing following the specific requirements

RA.3.2 Realization actions

(-)  Finalize the rules and the administrative & organization procedures.

care for the other administrative aspects: new functions description, new work places valuation

(-)  Perform the training of the end-users and of the computer specialists in charge of the operations

(-)  Write the training supports

training to the usage of the new programs

training to the new procedures

(-) Prepare the operational environment.

Install the hardware, the network, the operating system and all components of the operational environment.

Perform the final data conversions, data migration

(-)  Set up the security system.

RA.3.3 Project management actions

(-)  Gather all conditions in order to build the operational environment.

(-)  Plan and coordinate the launch in production.

(-)  Evaluate and gather the additional resources needed during the transition phase (because the routine job must go on during the training sessions, because of the parallel run and double work, ...)

(-)  Set up the help desk

(-)  Coordinate the delivery of the secondary resources: furniture, new forms, etc.

RA.3.4 Quality assurance actions

As from this phase, the quality assurance actions consists mainly in managing the nonconformities and the various updates.

This activity is detailed in the next phase: follow-up and upgrade.

RA.3.5 Phase closing actions

(-)  Set up the project balance

(-)  From the planning point of view:

compare the first forward-looking planning with what has been realized;

set up a diagnose about the differences origin

(-)  From the costs point of view:

finalize the analysis of the project costs

compare the budget costs with real costs

set up a diagnose about the differences origin

compare with standard ratios.

(-)  From the realization point of view:

Evaluate the whole set of what has been done

compare the forecasts and the realizations

evaluate the productivity of the solution

apply the criteria and indicators fixed to evaluate the realization performances of the System Design Architecture and of the Preliminary Study

(-)  From the quality/satisfaction point of view

evaluate the nonconformities detected during the various realization phases.

evaluate the reliability of the final solution.

evaluate the satisfaction of the various users groups

(-)  From the development team point of view

evaluate the production, the organization, the coherence of the team.

evaluate the project management

(-)  These evaluations will allow you to propose improvements for the next projects, and to improve so regularly the global quality of your projects !
