Introduction

This document describes the internal methodology applied by Sequoia to manage its IT and web projects. You'll find two main sections in this document :

  1. the general methodology can be applied to virtually every IT project
  2. the web site design methodology, a particular case of our general methodology, guides you through the development of web sites up to large e-commerce applications, including those requiring complex processing and interaction with a corporate information system.

This methodology wants to be very practical. It is indeed a practical user guide, indicating what needs being done, and when it needs being done at every moment during the life cycle of a information system or web development project

We firmly believe that, as urgent or as simple a project can apparently look like, applying this methodology or at least its basic principles will considerably increase the project quality and reveal profitable, even in the short term.

Practically, we will always adapt this methodology to every single customer and every mission to take the particular conditions into account:

specific purposes

what has already been done ?

available resources

realization delay

The methodology describes:

- for every project type

- for every project phase

- which purposes need being reached

- which actions need being launched, while covering the 3 aspects:

realization actions

project management actions

quality assurance actions

The methodology covers also the maintenance and the follow-up of the information systems and web applications , in the phase 'Follow-up and Actualisation'
