INFORMATION SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE DESIGN

Phase SD.3 Set up an action plan

SD.3.1 Purposes

(-)  Prepare the execution of the selected scenario

identify the actions to be launched, the required resources

planning

SD.3.2 Realization actions

(-)  Refine the cutting of the target scenario into modules

Refine the description of the interfaces between modules.

Feedback Realization - Project management

It must be possible to integrate the modules into realistic development phases when taking the purposes and the available resources into account.

(-)

 SD.3.3 Project management actions

(-)  Set up the modules into phases, projects & actions

phase description, project / action

(-)  For every phase, project, action, ...

(-)  Identify the needed resources

human resources, responsibilities

budget

time limits

(-)  Plan the actions

identify the constraints about linking the actions.

remind the time purposes, the priorities and the constraints

plan taking the available resources into account.

Note: at this stage, the next steps can be planned in a gross way, without the managers that will be responsible.

SD.3.4 Quality assurance actions

(-)  Control by a second reading, simple or alternate.

(-)  Key factors:

(-)  correct evaluation of all needed resources.

SD.3.5 Phase closing actions

At the end of this phase (the last one of the System Design step), you should be able to launch the specifications for the preliminary studies.

(-)  validate the selected action plan

not only from the contents point of view (what you will do), but also from the resources point of view: budgets, time limits, availabilities.

(-)  Publish the summary Information System Architecture Design

(-)  Launch information and motivation actions.

(-)  Closing meeting
